• PHD (Passage Hole Diameter) indicates the minimum space into which the interdental brush can be inserted. It is important that the brush is inserted loosely into the interdental space. Only the bristles (not the wire) should come into contact with the teeth and gums. Does the wire bend easily upon contact with the gums? Then use a brush with a smaller PHD.
New sizing for Interprox interdental brushes
Since September 2024, Interprox has adjusted the sizing of the Interprox interdental brushes. From now on, all Interprox sizes are indicated with PHD (on the new packaging). Did you receive an 'old' package? No problem. The sizing is exactly the same, except for Interprox Plus Purple.

How do you use Interprox Plus interdental brushes?
• Determine the correct size of interdental brushes for all interdental spaces. You have the right size brushes if you can easily reach between your teeth and molars, but still feel some resistance.
• Move the brush you are using back and forth a few times without twisting. This is the best way to remove remaining plaque and bacteria after brushing with a manual or electric toothbrush.
• Extend the brush (if necessary) by placing the protective cap on the handle. This allows you to reach every part of your mouth even better.
