Full Product Description
Not every statement piece needs to be flashy. The ASICS GEL-1130 White/Taro Purple wins people over quietly — and that's exactly what makes it work.
Built on the same silhouette as the cult-favorite GEL-KAYANO 14, and rooted in the ninth chapter of ASICS' legendary GEL-1000 series, this pair takes the brand's 2008 stability runner and gives it a softer, more wearable finish: a crisp white mesh base lifted by glossy Taro Purple overlays that add just enough color to stand out without overdoing it.
But it's not just about the pastel effect. This shoe keeps the technical strengths that made the original a success: GEL® cushioning in the heel for optimal shock absorption, a foam midsole for everyday comfort, and a durable rubber outsole designed to be worn — not just photographed.
The details that matter:
- A quietly standout model: a crisp white mesh upper lifted by glossy Taro Purple overlays for a subtle touch of color
- GEL® technology in the heel for genuine all-day cushioning
- Foam midsole for lightweight, cushioned comfort underfoot
- Mesh and synthetic leather construction — breathable, sturdy, and built to last
- ASICS' signature Tiger Stripes on the side panels and reflective accents for a polished, detailed look
- Unisex fit, true retro-running sizing
Who it's for: minimalist sneaker fans, everyday-piece collectors, and anyone looking for an easy-to-match pop of color. Pairs effortlessly with light denim, neutral joggers, or a monochrome outfit for a great contrast.
